| JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2018 60 e Kentucky Bar Foundation hosted a sold-out fundraising dinner, attended by more than 250 attorneys, judges, and com- munity members on November 14, 2017. After expenses, the event raised more than $10,000 for law-related organizations and projects throughout the Commonwealth. e Bar Foundation honored Justice Bill Cunningham with the Judge Edward H. Johnstone Award for his commitment to public service, his work to build the public's trust in the justice system, and his efforts to improve access to justice for all people, regardless of income level or background. e Honorable omas B. Russell, Senior U.S. District Judge for the Western Dis- trict of Kentucky, was the featured speaker. Attorney Natalie Bash, from Kentucky Legal Aid, shared stories of how the Foundation has helped fund legal services for low-income Western Kentuckians. Paducah Tilghman High School's aca- pella choir provided the entertainment, including a surprise birthday serenade for Judge Russell.
