| MARCH/APRIL 2018 42 COLUMNS E ach year, the Kentucky Bar Association ("KBA") puts on a top notch annual convention, at which lawyers from around the Commonwealth gather for continuing legal education programs, networking, and fun. is year's Annual Convention is being held in Lexington, e Horse Capital of the World, from June 13-15, 2018. e Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers Division ("YLD") is always very active at the annual convention, and this year is no different. e YLD will be sponsoring 10 continuing legal education pro- grams at the KBA Annual Convention covering a wide range of topics. e topics are sure to interest lawyers young and old, so be sure to check out the YLD's programming. Additionally, at noon on ursday, June 14, the YLD will be hosting its annual luncheon . All KBA members and guests are invited to attend the luncheon. At the luncheon, the YLD will honor recipients of the 2018 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, the Service to Young Lawyer Award, and the Young Lawyer Ser- vice to Community Award. We will also recognize the winners of the 2018 Legal Food Frenzy competition. We are fortunate and honored to have Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear serve as the keynote speaker at the luncheon. Attorney General Beshear will also be presenting the prestigious Attorney General's Cup to the law firm or legal organization that raises the most overall total pounds in the Legal Food Frenzy competition at the luncheon. On ursday evening, June 14, the YLD and Bench & Bar Joint Reception will take place at the Lexington Convention Center. Join the YLD for complimentary appetizers and drinks at the reception, while enjoying the company of other convention goers. For those who are members of the YLD, you can get a $150 dis- count on your registration for annual convention. If you are not a YLD member, but you would like to be a member (assuming you are eligible), please visit and join the YLD today for only $20. In addition to its sprawling horse farms and general Southern charm, Lexington has recently been recognized as one of the Top 30 Most Exciting Food Cities in America by Zagat. So, in addi- tion to the scheduled programming and events taking place at the convention, there are many places to visit and things to do in and around Lexington that are sure to make your attendance at the annual convention worthwhile and memorable.
