Sowell is a member of the Bowling-Green Warren County, Kentucky and American Bar associations. Gary C. Johnson, P.S.C. , announces that Jen- nifer L. ompson has joined the firm and will concentrate her practice on mass tort and medical malpractice cases on behalf of injured individuals, as well as other complex litigation matters. She will work out of Louisville for the Pikeville-based firm. ompson earned her J.D. from the Uni- versity of Dayton School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Morgan & Pottinger, P.S.C. , recently announced that Michael Troutman joined the firm's Lou- isville office as a senior associate. Troutman's practice focuses on business law and litigation, family law, employment and labor law, and estate planning. Troutman joined Morgan & Pottinger after more than six years in practice as a solo practitioner. Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball recently announced that Lorran Hart Ferguson has joined her office as deputy general counsel and communications director. Ferguson received her B.A. from Lindsey Wilson College and her J.D. in 2017 from the Uni- versity of Kentucky College of Law. Angela L. Edwards joined Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company of Kentucky on February 5 th. She will assume the position of chief execu- tive officer on July 1, 2018. During this interim period Edwards will work closely with Asa P. "Pete" Gullett , Lawyers Mutual's current exec- utive vice president and chief executive officer, the company staff, and the board of directors. Upon assuming the position of chief executive officer, and in partnership with the board of directors, Edwards will be responsible for company policy, plan- ning, and directing day-to-day company operations. Gullett will step down from his position on July 1 st . He will continue to work at Lawyers Mutual as assistant claims counsel, offer CLE presenta- tions, and be a resource on legal malpractice matters for Kentucky lawyers. Prior to joining Lawyers Mutual, Edwards was a partner in the litigation department of Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP. Edwards received a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law and her bachelor's degree in finance from Transylvania University. Gregory T. Dutton has joined Frost Brown Todd as a member of the Louisville office and the firm's environmental practice group (EPG). Dutton focuses his practice in environmental compliance and litigation, utility regulation and energy law. He has represented clients in federal and state liti- gation and administrative matters involving the Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), and the Comprehensive Envi- ronmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and has prac- ticed before the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC). The EPG serves as litigation counsel, defends civil and criminal enforcement actions, prosecutes administrative appeals, counsels clients on regulatory matters, conducts audits and internal investigations, and provides envi- ronmental representation on real estate and corporate transactions. He earned his J.D. and a Certificate in Environmental Law at Pace Law School in White Plains, N.Y., and also holds a degree in environmental science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
